I read this book a few days ago and gave it 4 stars initially. I was waiting for Kat and Dan's story, since it has been teased beautifully in the previous parts of this series. But the more I thought about it, the more I am leaning towards three stars ("liked it"). What made me lower my rating: - very well-paced beginning and middle (all about their relationship), but the ending was all about Kat's family background etc. and the romance fell short because of it. - The plots (aside from the obvious romance) in Penny Reid's books are soooo ridiculous, lots of super specific, often crime-related, high society stories. Most of the time I like that, but I think Kat's background just felt too unrelatable for me to enjoy it fully. Plus: the "villain" was such a caricature, it was a quite silly. Three stars mean "solid read" for me. It was good but nothing spectacular.
