This is a series of books from the New Island Open Door series, where they have gotten Irish Authors to write short stories and royalties go to the authors chosen charity. Im sure I read online that these books are also for a literacy programme. I hope I'm right! Ill correct it if Im not. The story goes Emelda has been abandoned by her husband Charlie for a newer model and she left to take care of 3 out of 5 boys that still live with her. Her ex husband is a bit of a douche bag but Emelda iss kept going in life by her love of ice cream and eventually introduces herself to Mr Whippy. This was a lovely story. I really enjoy reading Cecelia Ahern. I loved her books in the past and always leave me wanting more. This story was no different. I loved Emeldas character, and the way she eventually tried to get things together. Id love to see this as part of a bigger story A very quick read There is only 75 pages in the story but I picked it up because of who wrote it and wasnt disappointed. Lovely.
