Nice world building and I really liked the characters and the development of Rogan. The love story was a bit obvious but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. This is a stand-alone book and the story development happens pretty fast but that’s nothing bad. I definetly would recommend this to anyone who wants to read fantasy but does not want to commit to long series. For in-between it was a perfect read.
