I have some mixed feelings about this book. On one side, it was thoroughly enjoyable and the romance was great (even if the timescale was a little short), on the other side, the world building was messy and a lot of the scenes were confusing - especially action scenes- in regards to how the characters etc. moved around the scene and everything. The world in this book is intriguing, and while I think the demon part was very well explained, I think there’s some things that could be nice to have more fleshed out - what are the marks? What is the deal with demon blood and powers? What were the different weapons used in the beginning? And why was it never mentioned again? That said, this book is an entertaining read for romantasy lovers who also enjoy a good religious cult and demon hunting. Overall 3.5/5 rounded down to 3/5.
