Sometimes you come across the best books by accident. In this case, it was Man Crush Monday. I feel like a good book makes you think you got it all figured out, seemingly proves you wrong, only to show you that you were right all along. This one had me hooked from the beginning. I couldn't put it down, because I needed to know what was going to happen. I absolutely fell in love with the characters. I sympathised with Amy from the beginning, felt her inner conflicts and was just as helpless as she was when a decision had to be made. And on the other hand, Jared is just out of this world. Both of them are so incredibly interesting protagonists. What makes them so great, so perfect, is that they're not perfect. The author managed to create two brilliant, authentic characters that make the storyline even better. I've already had a little peek at what the second book in the series would be about. Minor characters can have a hard time sometimes, but Theo - Jared's twin and the complete opposite, deserve his happy ending. This is why, at one point, I was hoping for things to turn out differently. Just that this book is great the way it is. And I can't wait for more books to come.
