It was heartbreaking to read but therapeutic as well. Nothing was dragged out; the unraveled secrets were well executed. Dual timelines are tricky, but the themes of forgiveness, family secrets, self-worth, and love are all handled nicely. It was a lot to unpack for the main characters, but Confronting your past to progress in life is often necessary. Sometimes, feeling lost and isolated can be overwhelming, especially when you’ve been left behind and think you are unworthy of love.
