Their dynamic is sharp, warm and reliably funny. The mystery itself is tightly wound, full of wrong turns, clever reveals and that classic Craven rhythm: short, punchy chapters that make “just one more” an outright lie. The British humour lands, the pacing flies and by book seven you know exactly what kind of ride you’re in for. My only gripe? The final stretch loses a touch of tension. And one returning character’s development felt a bit too much… Still, it’s a cracking instalment and an easy binge for crime‑fiction addicts!
