I got through this book because I have a general policy of not giving up halfway through. The story has great promise and could be very intriguing. However, somehow I could not stick with reading more than a couple of pages at a time because I immediately got bored. There are sudden jumps in time, the characters lack emotional depth and thought and the constant POV-switching would be ok if it led to more depth in character - instead it’s just annoying. Very disappointing, because with better writing it could be fantastic.
