3,5* Even though it says this is Volume 5 it's really the start of a new run of Hawkeye with a new writer and artist although it still features Clint and Kate and mostly the story and tone are similar to the last run. Overall the story is a bit darker though and not as much fun. There are kind of two parallel stories, one with Clint and Kate in the present and one about Clint and his brother Barney in the past, which is kind of like a origin story for Clint. The two story often have similar themes and mostly really work good together. I really liked the art for the flashback-story although I sometimes felt like the two art-styles just did not look too great next to each other although I actually liked both and think Pérez is a great artist. Overall I think it was not quite as good as the last run but I still really liked it.
