This may very well be the best scientific book I have ever read. Graham Hancock sure makes an extraordinary claim in suggesting that 10000 years before christ there was an ancient civilisation that got annihilated in a cataclysm. However over the course of more than 5000 pages he gives the reader nothing but extraordinary evidence, minted with brief accounts of the landscape he travels to and the people he meets during his quest at finding the remnants of this civilisatzion. The arguments he brings to the table are explained in a very straightforward way, and are thus easily comprehensible. Adding to that are sections of the book wit diagrams and images to further illustrate the point Graham Hancock wants the reader to understand, and although I am not convinced by every one of his arguments, the overall picture of the fate of this civilisation and its remnants is very logical and quite in the realm of possibility.
