The trilogy gets weaker with each book
1.The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4,0) 2.The Restaurant at the End of the Universe: ⭐⭐⭐ (3,25) 3.Life, the Universe and Everything: ⭐⭐⭐ (2,75) 4.So long, and thanks for all the fish: ⭐⭐ (2,25) Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐ I loved the first book in this series. The second one I still enjoyed. But then I couldn't get into the third one, paused this series for several years. I still liked somehow the third book, but it was a lot weaker than the previous ones. Then I read the fourth. The beginning was as great as usual, but I soon realised that most of the plot is just a romance on earth. It was kind of pointless. After the disappointment of the third and fourth novel I don't feel like reading the short story "Young Zaphod plays it safe" and the fifth and final book "Mostly Harmless". Especially because some reviewers wrote that the ending wouldn't be good.
