This book had a lot of promise and I would definitely recommend it to other people! The characters are fleshed out very well, the story is very interesting, as is the world building and the magic system (would've loved to learn more about it, but I think that'll come in part 2 or 3). However, I don't think I'll continue the trilogy any time soon because it just didn't really catch me. This is absolutely a me problem, maybe I just wasn't in the mood.
