Started out as the only book I could focus on right now, then turned into... I don't even know what, but I couldn't connect to the characters or the story at all after a certain point. Also, the casual homophobia from the main character's father that's always painted as somewhat understandable because hey, small towns, am I right (so charming!)? Yeah, no.
