That epilogue was everything I didn’t know I needed, but totally did. I AM SOFt. I don’t have much to say here. Was it a five star out of this world conclusion to the story. No. Was it a satisfying ending to the trilogy. Totally. I loved seeing the whole gang together. One of my favourite parts of this book was the main Nephs and I got really attached to them. There was a lot of stuff that wasn’t necessary like Marna‘s part of the story but it kept interested. ( I totally got why she did it tho) I really love that the author stayed true to the characters throughout this whole trilogy. Although Kaidan has shown some real restraint when I came to his needs, he still couldn’t keep his hands of Anna at times. When things got serious Anna still had the inclinations toward alcohol and couldn’t stop herself from the clasps of it. All of the characters got solid character growth but still remained „human“. One little qualm I have with the book is the whole purity thing. Anna not being aloud the have sex to stay pure felt very, well, Christian to me. It’s all understandable but it seemed like sex before marriage was impure. But then again we had characters that faced zero judgement for it, so I guess it really just was to keep the tension between Kaidan and Anna going. The way they „solved“ the virginity thing was obvious to me from the beginning but you know, whatever. I totally enjoyed this series, even with its flaws. It’s the peek of paranormal YA romance and it was so much fun. It made me totally nostalgic. Kaidan Rowe has got to be one of the best broody book boyfriends. (the whole lust thing does play a part in it, I mean this man is so swoonworthy) also one spoilery thing that stood out to me: Even tho Anna asked for the demonic side of the Neph to go away, the author didn’t change the fact that Neph mom‘s had to die when they had their children and that their urges remained.

Das Buch beginnt da, wo der letzte Band aufgehört hat: Kais Vater Pharzuph hat von der Prophezeiung erfahren, die besagt, dass Anna diejenige sein soll, die die Dämonenfürsten von immer von der Erde erlösen soll. Damit schwebt Anna in noch grösserer Gefahr als ohnehin schon und sie muss sich weiterhin von Kaidan fernhalten. Nun, da sich die beiden ihre Liebe gestanden haben, fällt den beiden das natürlich noch schwerer als früher. Trotz des Verbots taucht Kai eines Tages vor Annas Hoteltür auf, in dem sie sich gerade versteckt. Sein Vater hat ihm den Auftrag gegeben, Anna zu entjungfern, so dass sie die Prophezeiung nicht mehr erfüllen kann, da das "Schwert der Gerechtigkeit" nur von jemandem benutzt werden kann, der ganz und gar rein ist. Mit viel Glück schaffen sie es, dieses Vorhaben nicht durchführen zu müssen. Doch damit ist die Gefahr noch lange nicht gebannt. Sollte Pharzuph erfahren, dass Anna immer noch Jungfrau ist und sie damit tatsächlich die Auserwählte aus der Prophezeiung ist, wird er alles daran setzen sie zu töten. Deshalb haben die beiden keine andere Wahl als zu heiraten, damit Anna die Chance kriegt, die Dämonenfürsten ein für alle Mal von der Erde zu vertreiben. Der letzte Band hat zwar einige Schwächen und weist nicht durchgehend eine Spannung auf, die einen fesselt, aber er konnte mich trotz allem gut unterhalten. Das lag aber nicht zuletzt - wie bereits bei den Vorgängern - an Kaidan. Kai landet damit für mich definitiv in der Riege der "best book-boyfriends ever" :D Ich bin froh, dass die Autorin diesmal genügend Raum für Anna und Kaidan eingeräumt hatte, so dass man als Fan dieses Pairings sicher nicht enttäuscht wird. Über die Sache mit der Jungfräulichkeit muss man einfach hinweg sehen, sonst wird man das Buch sicher nicht mögen. Ich habe bereits bei der Rezension zu Band 1 erwähnt, dass ich mit Religion und vor allem den damit zusammenhängenden total veralteten Ansichten nicht viel anfangen kann. Da hier in der Geschichte aber Engel eine Rolle spielen, kann man da meiner Meinung nach mal ein Auge zudrücken. Ausserdem haben Anna und Kai nach ihrer Hochzeit so oft Sex miteinander, dass ich dann doch nicht den Eindruck hatte, dass die Autorin tatsächlich prüde ist. (Und für die, die kritisieren, dass es in diesem Buch zu oft um Sex ging: Man muss auch bedenken, dass Kais Vater der Dämon der Wollust ist und Kai deshalb öfter mal als der "Otto Normalverbraucher" an Sex denkt ;) Ausserdem sind die beiden Teenager, seit kurzem verheiratet und mussten sich echt lange zurückhalten. Für mich hat das also schon Sinn gemacht und in diesem Kontext auch absolut nicht gestört. Ich fand es sogar sehr süss, wie sich die beiden nicht zurückhalten konnten ;D) Die Sweet Trilogie ist sicher kein literarisches Meisterwerk und hat ihre Schwächen - allerdings fand ich die Idee und die meisten Charaktere so sympathisch, dass man darüber hinwegsehen kann. Für den letzten Band vergebe ich deshalb wiederum grosszügig 4.5 Sterne.

This book was quite a ride! It was emotional and fast-paced and so good! At one point I found that the plot moved a little too fast, but it was really good. Going with Anna on this journey was amazing. And her friends are amazing too! Being on the run is terrible, it is too confusing. The plot moved really fast with that. Anna doesn't know who to trust and when she thinks she knows she almost gets killed/kidnapped. Kope to the rescue! Marek felt like a reliable person from the moment he was introduced but Caterina was on the wrong side then and so he couldn't do much. Veronica and Jay break up and I knew that Marna and Jay would finally have their chance. I was sad to know that she would die because of the pregnancy, she was such a vibrant character throughout the entire series! It was a little to fast, their getting together, but it was also right. Speaking of getting together, as much as I love Kai and Anna and wanted them together, their marriage felt forced and too soon.. It was right, yes, and it was also necessary, but it felt forced.. Although it was quite beautiful. Their entire relationship was. Their plan to send the Dukes back to Hell was quite wild! That part at the club had me on edge but it was done beautifully! We had this huge built up since book one and it was very satisfyingly done! It had all the right elements! But Patti's death was very sad.. And Kope almost dying was terrifying! But they won and Ginger even "adopted" Caterina! That was really nice of her. And that ending! Kai, my precious, crying and getting a daughter! It was so beautiful...! The perfect ending really. This entire series is about love and hope and trust that things will work out for the best. It's a great premise and a very good plot with great characters. I loved it!
