I wanted to leave it a while after reading before I reviewed this book. I had just finished reading Cathy Glass' latest offering, and appreciated (as enjoy for any of her books is perhaps not the right word.) it enough to want to read another. I decided I'd go to the very beginning and read this. I think I hadn't prepared myself for how harrowing this one is though. It made me hate both being a man and an adult. Ultimately however I am glad I read this book. It has made me more resolute to make this world a better place for the next generations, and realised they are more precious and delicate than I ever believed.
