I thought this was another novel. It's not but the short stories were a wild mix of sweet, devastating and so much more. But I was so happy to be back at Shifting Sands. We learn about how Scarlet and Bastian got to the island (major spoilers in the stories for the series so best read after finishing), we learn about Gizelle's parents (I had to google her mother's animal, I'm not gonna lie. Never heared of it before) and get little snippets in between the stories and after the ending. It was so fun and I've already started the next short story collection.
