Cute, but predictable 🪶
It was a cute and partly exciting read. It had my interests from page one, but with proceeding pages it slowly disappeared. Not completely, but the story got really predictable and enormously obvious, that it took the fun out of things. As I didn’t go in with any expectations, so it wasn’t too bad, but some readers might be disappointed. I might read the second book, but I guess it won’t be in my top reads..
Finally getting back to thisss!!!!! (4 Stars is my rating so far, but I'm barely 100 pages in, so... still exciting)
I started this book up again. Don't know why I paused it last year, probably just too busy. But now I'm finally back and I'm giggling and gasping along. I'm really excited to see where this leads. I'm hoping it won't be too spicy - I love spice, don't get me wrong, but it's ruined a few really cool books for me in the past months, bc it was badly written or because the author dropped all plot after the first spicy scene... So yeah, hoping this book won't forget its genre just bc the mc's fall in love ;)
Kurzweilige Urbanfantasy
Ich war ein bisschen überrascht, weil ich zunächst keine Urbanfantasy erwartet habe! Ich mochte das Tempo. Gerade zu Beginn des Buches starten wir direkt actionreich rein und halten uns gar nicht zu sehr mit Worldbuilding auf. Das wird erst im Laufe der Geschichte eingewoben, so dass man nicht direkt am Anfang mit Exposition überwältigt wird. Im Laufe des Buches war die Handlung etwas vorhersehbar und es hat mich ein bisschen zu sehr an diverse andere Urbanfantasy-Romane erinnert. Meinen Spaß hatte ich dennoch!
