Beschreibung

Percy is confused. When he awoke after his long sleep, he didn’t know much more than his name. His brain-fuzz is lingering, even after the wolf Lupa told him he is a demigod and trained him to fight. Somehow Percy managed to make it to the camp for half-bloods, despite the fact that he had to continually kill monsters that, annoyingly, would not stay dead. But the camp doesn't ring any bells with him.

Hazel is supposed to be dead. When she lived before, she didn’t do a very good job of it. When the Voice took over her mother and commanded Hazel to use her “gift” for an evil purpose, Hazel couldn’t say no. Now, because of her mistake, the future of the world is at risk.

Frank is a klutz. His grandmother claims he is descended from ancient heroes and can be anything he wants to be, but he doesn’t see it. He doesn’t even know who his father is. He keeps hoping Apollo will claim him, because the only thing he is good at is archery—although not good enough to help the Fifth Cohort win at war games. His big and bulky physique makes him feel like a clumsy ox, especially in front of Hazel, his closest friend at camp. He trusts her completely—enough, even, to share the secret he holds close to his heart.

Beginning at the “other” camp for half-bloods and extending as far north as the land beyond the gods, this breathtaking second installment in the Heroes of Olympus series introduces new demigods, revives fearsome monsters, and features other remarkable creatures, all of whom are destined to play a part in the most important quest of all: the Prophecy of Seven.

4.5 i THINK it's really hard to decide wether this is a 5 or a 4.5 star book knowing this series just gets so much more insanely better with the next two books but i guess that's the curse of a reread. but genuinely i had so much fun, the pacing of this book is so much better of the first one. yes is has some slow parts but it's almost unnoticable because everything is so fun. i genuinely think all three main characters have such great stories in this book, percy's obviously being the most familiar, since we as a reader know what he's missing. i do think hazel is one of the strongest characters with probably the strongest backstory in the heroes of olympus series. everything that unfolds is just so good and (most) things click into place throughout the story. imo the character arcs are incredibly earned (especially franks and hazels) and it doesn't feel unnatural at any point. yeah just a really, really great book overall and already an insane stepup from book one.

i just love the second book in this series so much, like... camp jupiter? reyna? ella??? and obviously frank and hazel “I'm fine!" Percy yelled out as he ran by, followed by a giant screaming bloody murder.”

Although I had troubles reading the first one, this went really smoothly! I simply loved it! Percy (my true love) is back and Frank is such a cute teddy bear! And I really liked Hazel! She is so much better than Piper! Best one of the Heroes of Olympus books so far!!!

Awesome. I was annoyed that percy had to lose his memory tho that the membered annabeth was adorable. Ig everything worked out in the end. I think Frank and hazel are good written characters. The ending didn't sit right with me as if he couldn't have given us a percybeth moment.
