A good sequel with charming characters
The Maid blew me away when I first read it a few years ago. I didn't keep up with the author, though, so I was surprised to see that she had published another book with the same characters as the first one. I immediately bought it, and couldn't wait to read it. Whilst I really enjoyed the characters yet again, their wit, and their charm, it was the mystery that fell a little flat for me. But nevertheless, a great story, with a unique POV!
Molly is back in her job as a chambermaid & stumbles into a new Murder Mystery! The famous author J.D. Grimthorpe has come to the Regency Grand Hotel for an event & wants to make a big announcement - only to suddenly die. I enjoyed the author's sensitive & sympathetic narrative style - it gave me a great cozy reading feeling
