Anne Boleyn fasziniert mich schon seit mehreren Jahren, dementsprechend habe ich bereits mehrere Biografien über die englische Königin 👑 gelesen. Obwohl ich mittlerweile alle Fakten kenne, hoffe ich immer, noch etwas Neues zu erfahren, das mir bisher entgangen ist. Dadurch gabe es aber in "The final Year of Anne Boleyn" für mich keine Überraschungen mehr. Generell verliert sich die Autorin in der Route von Heinrich und Annes letztem Progress, während die letzten Monate kurz vor ihrem Fall und auch die Rolle von Jane Seymour ziemlich kurz abgehandelt werden. Da hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Wirklich neue Infos gab es für mich leider nicht und ich hätte mir mehr Theorien der Autorin gewünscht. Was sind ihre Gefanken zu Annes Fall und den involvierten Akteuren? Wie war die Stimmung an Heinrichs Hof? Wer sich bislang noch nicht mit dem Fall von Anne Boleyn beschäftigt hat, der lernt Neues, der Rest nicht. Deshalb nur 3 von 5 Sternen.
