4.5/5 stars* “I’ve wanted this every single night for six months. Probably farther back than that. You’ve always been the unattainable girl of my dreams, Ellie.” “When I asked you, ‘what about us,’ you said, ‘There is no us. There’s never been an us.’ I wanted to show you it wasn’t true. That there’s always been an us.” So, when i read Ignite, I wasn't that excited to read Ellie and Gianni's story, but to be honest, once i started I couldn't stop, they were addictive and hot and emotional and beautiful and they had a lot of history already and it was so good! I really loved Ellie's character and her stubbornness and her love for what she does and also her grow, because she wanted to be like her mom and never thought she could but she is and so much more, she is her own person and when life got a little side tracked and happened something she wasn't expecting, she was so strong and she is also so funny!! Gianni tho, i liked him right from the start, I even liked him since Ignite to be honest, he was always getting on Ellie's skin and it was so fun, but in his book I got to meet him deeply and he is so much more than a hottie chef, he truly cares deeply and he left his life behind to come home to help his family who mean the world to him! He also had a beautiful strong grow from a person who never wanted to settle down in one place and have a significant other to someone who couldn't live without Ellie and needed to set up and be the man they knew he could be and he did it!! Their banter was just so good and hot since the first page and then the chemistry they have, even tho they thought they didn't really liked each other, was truly out of this world!! I loved how they have so much history because they grow up together (not always friendly with each other because Gianni was always messing with Ellie for fun but in a funny cute way of his) and their parents are best friends, I think their connection runs really deep and it was so wonderful and magical to see! Now, I am ready to finally read Felicity's book aaa with that billionaire that Ellie said he was a little shy uhh interesting!! But seriously overall, I think I liked Taste and Ellie and Gianni a little bit more than Ignite but seeing Winnie again ugh my baby the cutest woman ever, it was amazing!!! “You’re here. I want to be where you are.” “I love you, Ellie.” His voice was soft and serious. “I have never said those words to anyone before. And now that I know what it should feel like, I’m glad I didn’t, because it would have been a lie.” He looked at me the way I’d always dreamed of. “You’re everything to me. You’re the one.” “There will always be an us.”
