What to say, what to say… this was… fine. It’s a character driven book with focus on spice. There’s some story but I felt myself not caring about the story at all. It doesn’t seem to be properly thought out and it definitely wasn’t the main focus here. But that doesn’t matter. It was an easy to read little enemies (that never really act like enemies) to lovers and all in all fun. I did enjoy it, it’s a nice book to read in between books with complicated worldbuilding, as this had basically none. The whole „Greek mythology“ thing is kind of random, because at the end of the day the characters and places only have names that come from Greek mythology, however they’re not gods and it not set in what Olympus is supposed to be. It’s just a city named Olympus and characters like Zeus, Poseidon etc are simply job titles in this world. I have to admit however that this is the 8th book in a series of standalones and I have not read any of the others, so maybe I was a little more confused about the world it’s set in that I would’ve been if I’d had read the others. But it also didn’t matter much, as I mentioned it wasn’t much world building here and so I could pick up on the setting rather easily. All in all, I’d recommend if you like a little easy-to-read, spicy little gay romance.
