Ich hab mir das Buch aufgrund der zahlreichen positiven Rezensionen gekauft und was mir dabei aufgefallen ist: Ihr braucht auf keinen Fall irgendwelche empfohlenen Taschentücher sondern eher starke Nerven, denn emotional wurde es bei mir nur, weil ich Dylan, dem männlichen Protagonisten, ab der Mitte am liebsten durchgehend an die Kehle gegangen wäre. Es gibt ja durchaus Red Flags, Themen und Typen, die ich trotz ihrer toxischen Art sexy schmexy finde. Die können sich noch so bevormundenden benehmen, mein Herz schmilzt trotzdem dahin. Und dann gibt es Dylan St. Clair, der all das auch ist, aber eben auch noch nervig und dämlich. Und diese Kombination geht für mich einfach gar nicht klar. Bis zur Mitte war das alles noch aufregend, gut geschrieben und süchtig machend, danach aber leider nur noch idiotisch, dümmlich und langweilig. Die Story dreht sich in Kreis und scheinbar auch Dylans wenige Gehirnzellen, denn sonst hätte der Typ vielleicht nochmal die Kurve bekommen. So war er und auch das Buch leider äußerlich hot, aber innen drin Schrott 👎🏻
ok stop im in love!! I love this universe so freaking much, you can expect pure summer vibes and hot surfer boys!! And the tropes were just amazing, sports romance, sisters ex girlfriend and forbidden romance?? Scarlett is a very strong, creative, athletic and young woman. She is headstrong, independent and a bit rebellious. Unlike her big sister Sienna, she leans against her father, who has a thoroughly toxic relationship with his family. Dylan is hot, loves to surf and a bad boy!! He would do literally anything for his loved ones also his life choice is to do things full or not at all ,half things are not approved by him which is why he always stands by his decisions. Dylan didn't have an easy childhood too, as his mother was a toxic person who didn't really care about and love him and his sister, Remy. About Dylan and Scarlett both did not have an easy past, which makes me love them all the more. They just belong together!! I know that their relationship wasn't easy at all, he still was first with her sister, but in the end you can still see that Dylans choice was opening up to Scarlett and letting her into his heart and he did not choose Sienna. He loves Scarlett endlessly and both would do anything for each other and even if the circumstances were difficult at first, I had no doubt that both would find each other again and will have a happy ending!!
