One of my major learnings in reading books about Google is that the are working on a completely different scale. Instead of trying to solve problems with COTS, they usually create their own software solution and this book (or [b:Software Engineering at Google: Lessons Learned from Programming Over Time|48816586|Software Engineering at Google Lessons Learned from Programming Over Time|Titus Winters|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1576579607l/48816586._SX50_.jpg|74201556]) is no different. The first few chapters where highly interesting about the general idea of SRE and how they live this idea inside of Google. Later on, I've again learned more about concrete software pieces (like kubemon or its successor), than I intended for based on the name of this book.
