Dieses Buch behandelt tiefere Themen als das erste. Shimmer konzentriert sich auf die Folgen eines Sklavenaufstands. Die Figuren kämpften alle mit dem Konzept von Schuld, Mitgefühl und Vergebung. Wie das vorherige Buch ist es schnell zu lesen, und ich fand es sehr lohnenswert. Ich freue mich auf die Fortsetzung, um zu sehen, wohin Rileys Leben nach dem Tod sie als nächstes führt.
