I thought All-American Girl was a really cute and fun book. I didn't know there was a sequel to it until I browsed Meg Cabot's author profile on Goodreads. When I saw Ready or Not I thought "Hey, why not?" and bought the book. I don't necessarily regret buying it since it still had some funny lines but overall I did not like the book. When I picked it up I honestly didn't think (even despite the title) that it would be about Samantha deciding whether or not she wants to have sex with her boyfriend. As long as they're sure and use protection, why not? But the way Samantha obsessed. so. freaking. much. about. it. That's all the Ready or Not is it about. Really. There's nothing else in here, nothing of substance. I don't understand why the book was even written. All-American Girl ended perfectly and didn't need a sequel.
