perfection i need blackwell in my life right now and i want to be ophelia, please and thank you! i was hooked from start to finish. the whole concept of phantasma ist utterly fascinating. the manor being an actual haunted house, the devils, the trials. everything. ophie is such a pure soul, i love her so much. her power and ability were so cool i wish i were a necromancer / specter. the way she was struggling with herself let me feel so close to her i can’t really explain it. but then she also stepped up and kept true to herself. she had such a great character development over such a short period of time. i admired her throughout the story. blackwells story is actually soul crushing. and i love his actual name salem so much! he is actually so funny but also has a dirty dirty mouth… he is also a shameless flirt, which i loved. i did think that he was probably the prince of the devils but when it actually came out i was still shocked. this man took me on an emotional rollercoaster. he was mysterious and secretive yet he showed his affection towards ophie so openly. this man is everything <3 their chemistry was a 10/10 and them being so sarcastic with each other all the time made me giggle so hard. the banter was crazy good. i can actually see them spending eternity together. i think the story was written beautifully and left me wanting to keep reading the whole time. in a way it gave me a feeling of caraval (which i absolutely love) but also being its own completely. the magic and the whole paranormal aspect were absolutely my jam. where can i sign up to pass the nine level of hell and making a deal with the hottest phantom out there? my favorite side character (next to poe obviously) was definitely jasper. this man could do whatever he wanted to me, just saying
