(Disclaimer: I received an eARC for this book in exchange for an honest review.) Taylor is looking for a fresh start, away from her problems. She decides to travel to England, across the ocean, only to run into the man who broke her heart, Jack. As he is her new boss, there is no way to hide from him or everything their encounter unveils. Both have known each other since childhood, were neighbours and grew up together. He was her childhood crush, best buddies with Taylor's brother and the reason there is a lot of angst left inside her. It's been years since they last saw each other, but the feelings are still there. Can they walk out of this together this time? By now, Aarons really is an "automatic read" author. I always enjoy her character creation and development, which was the same for Taylor and Jack. I dare say, this was one of the most heart-wrenching of the author's stories. You know why when you read it. I was constantly hoping for things to be fine; my heart was breaking for both of them. There was a big "finally" when they were able to resolve the issues. Something that I especially want to point out is the balance between built-up, conflict and resolution. Sometimes parts of a book go on forever; but with OFTS I didn't feel like the conflict was strung out for too long. I'm sure this would've been a one-day read if I wouldn't have to put it down. The only teeny-tiny thing that would've made it 5 stars (and I think a lot of readers feel the same) is there's a certain character who I hoped would get their comeuppance. This book played with all the feels and definitely made my TOP 5 Carrie Aarons' books list.
