This is my second experience with this author and I am not sure I want to try for a third. This was a difficult read. I just could not get into the story. It took me forever to complete it. Reading is supposed to provide the reader with a distraction from the bad things happening in the real world, but this book did not provide that for me. I was unable to connect with the characters. I could not fathom the reason for the X's need for revenge. I thought it was absurd to blame Jay for what her father and his parents did to him. I found the method of revenge, even more absurd. Oh Well! To each their own. This story did nothing for me. It did not engage me, it did not pull me in and it did not entertain me.
