This book is about Frances, a female reasearcher struggling to follow her passion in the tough science world. By chance, she meets her work nemesis, not directly knowing he‘s the face to some of the toughest struggles of her past four years. Through some weird situations, their interactions take the turn of fake dating - a trope that got me hooked, with all the chemistry between the two of them and the underlying worries Frances is dealing with. I loved the awkward moments between Frances and Lewis that kept happening. They felt so relatable. The science information that flowed into the story put a nice angle to the romance. Sometimes, I missed more information about interactions, for example between Frances and her sister on their trip together. Some situations were described in such detail, every gesture and word interpreted while others lacked the details completely (i. e. the first few days on said sister trip, some moments between Frances and Lewis in which I thought they just got to know each other, I don’t think nothing spectacular or interesting happens between them). All in all, it was a worthwhile and entertaining read with a special twist thanks to the science angle.
