Do not be afraid of complexity. Be afraid of people who promise an easy shortcut to simplicity.

A hopeful read in unstable times. Makes me want to finally read a novel of hers.

2.5 - this would have been so much better if I hadn't already listened to the interviews with Elif Shafak available for free on Spotify. The content is pretty much exactly the same, often even verbatim. The thoughts are worth listening to (or reading about), but I could have just saved the money I spent on the hard copy.

I can see how one would like this book. It is short and up to time written during that pandemic. I personally just feel like it is facts chained together that sometimes don’t even make sense to the title.
