Lena is in an interspecies prison, on earth. In a society where, in spite of living on their home planet, humans are treated like little more than slaves. After a bad turn of event, Lena ends up escaping the prison by following an escaping Levvek, the ruling species of the planet. He reluctantly takes her with him. This was really cool. Don't read if you dislike when the H doesn't really look human. I thought the fact that humans were at the end of the social scale was really interesting, cause I haven't read too many books set on earth after a dominating specias takes over and I thought this was a pretty accurate description of what woud happen. Lena was cool, persistent and clear headed. She wasn't annoying and she actually did have some hand in her rescuing, which was love. Kormak was really interesting, being a low life of the high society in a way. Their couple made sense and they were real cute together. The plot was honestly cool, no complaints.
