This was hard to get through, if I hadn't been so desperate in finding sth to listen to while working I would have DNFd.The FMC is honestly just annoying with her never ending aggressions. A constant cycle of "I will change oh nevermind I will just be an aggressive asshole to everyone again.".They try to explain it because she has some kind of "kill gene" but it's never really getting explained.Also the whole them being supernaturals isn't really explained or thought through. The world building lacks everywhere.Her power reveal at the end of the book is so anti-climatic it actually made me stare into nothing for a minute. The slow burn was nice, but Selena ruined it with her "he is literally perfect, but having a relationship is way too dangerous and I have to hurt him so he doesn't convince me to be with him". The whole book was riddled with no communication between the characters.Don't plan on reading the 2nd book, but who knows what happens when boredom strikes again..
