This was great! This is the first book in the series that actually earned itself the "villains" tag from me (for all the others, I have a "friendly-villains" tag–for all those guys who only pretend to be bad when it's obvious from the beginning they're softies). Of course the MMC isn't as bad as he seems in the beginning either. The story was interesting and the pages just flew by. At some point I realized I'm basically reading a more bloody "The Bachelor" book version, haha. Though I've never watched that TV show myself. Despite that possibly sounding less exciting than some epic adventure, it was actually very exciting to find out what happens, find out who these girls are, what their plans are. Plus, I liked the way smut scenes were sprinkled throughout the book. Not too insta-lusty either. The ending was a little aggravating. As in many of Rebecca F. Kenney's books, I wish the FMC would've spoken openly with the MMC, at least when shit went down, and asked for help. She just dumbly played into the enemies hands. I have to say, at least her behaviour wasn't unrealistic though, she was in over her head.
