Easy read on a lazy sunday. Fun, not too deep, pretty one-dimensional characters. Nice if you already know the series. Liked it!
this one didn’t age well and could basically use all the content warnings but it’s perfect material for a guilty pleasure, so that’s what it is for me also, very disappointing that they cut communist daddy humphrey out of the show. their cat is even called marx, so that move of the director was a loss if you ask me.
4 out of 5 stars because it isn't s bad read but not the most exciting and hard one. The language is pretty easy. Compared to the show the plot of the book is the pilot of the show. The characters are either similar or really different from the show. I either liked some characters more or less, which is good so I won't get bored with the books. The books really tell a lot of 'scandalous' stuff that gets left out in the show which I think is really cool. I still need to grasp the fact of how these books got so popular in America but oh well, some things simply do. I will continue this series since I wanna know how it turns out :) (btw I really think Nate's a jerk here?! And Chuck as disgusting as ever.)
I love this book so much, it brings me back to all the high school memories and the lovely TV-series! Finally reading the full bookseries now.
