All in all a good story and interesting characters. Sadly, I have trouble with the writing style and reading it felt very tenacious. About half of the book, almost nothing happens and the characters were each stuck at their place and then all of a sudden everyone is in motion, seemingly without there being any distinct character development (or they just suddenly display weird character behaviour). The end feels very rushed and anticlimactic.
That's how I should have always imagined Armageddon!! This book was very HILARIOUS! It was a great read and I enjoyed it very much. I think everyone should read it, not only because it is funny and entertaining, but also because it makes you think about good and bad and life and death and the (end of) world. I'm not a very religious person but I really liked the references to the book of Revelation and all the things mentioned in there, because it was very accurate how the authors incorporated everything in their story. I don't want to spoil this book for anybody, so I really can't say more.. Just read it yourself!!! Although, one thing bothered me pretty much: The use of "should of" instead of "should have" - I just HATE this construction! It's false :/
