Furybound: A Dark Romantasy (The Wolves of Ruin Book 2)

Können wir uns bitte darauf einigen, dass Bücher mit Direwölfen automatisch zehnmal cooler sind? Denn ich bin offiziell obsessed. 🐺🤍 Fury Bound hat mich sofort wieder in diese Welt gezogen und ich habe es geliebt, zu den Charakteren zurückzukehren. Die Einsätze sind noch höher, die politischen Intrigen noch komplexer und ich war von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite komplett investiert. Meryn entwickelt sich immer weiter und es hat so viel Spaß gemacht zu sehen, wie sie immer mehr in ihre eigene Stärke hineinwächst. Und Stark… entschuldigt mich bitte kurz, während ich ihn auf meine ohnehin schon viel zu lange Liste an Book Boyfriends setze. 🫠 Was ich an dieser Reihe besonders liebe, ist die Mischung aus Action, Romantik, Magie und emotionalen Momenten. Kaum hatte ich ein Kapitel beendet, wollte ich direkt weiterlesen. Aus „nur noch ein Kapitel“ wurden natürlich mal wieder deutlich mehr. Und dieses Ende?! Sable Sorensen weiß wirklich ganz genau, wie man einen mit offenem Mund zurücklässt und verzweifelt auf den nächsten Band warten lässt. Wenn ihr Romantasy mit Seelenband-Direwölfen, politischen Intrigen, einer starken Heldin, Found Family und einer Romance liebt, die euch permanent weiterlesen lässt, dann solltet ihr diese Reihe definitiv auf dem Schirm haben. Ich kann es kaum erwarten zu erfahren, wie es weitergeht! 🖤✨

Furybound was another fantastic part in the series! While I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as book one, it was still an amazing read that kept me hooked from beginning to end. There is so much happening throughout the story, and I loved seeing the plot continue to expand and the characters face new challenges. The pacing kept me engaged, and I never felt bored because there was always something exciting around the corner. The only thing I missed a little was the tension between Stark and Maryn. Their dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the first book, and I would have loved a bit more of that here. Still, their journey and the overall story were compelling enough to keep me fully invested. The ending left me desperate for more, and I absolutely cannot wait to see where the story goes in book three!

Loved the first book so much, and I’m really happy the second one didn’t disappoint! I didn’t have the same obsessed, can’t-put-it-down rush I had after book one though. There’s always something happening, but somehow it didn’t feel quite as captivating this time around. I did really appreciate that it didn’t end on a cruel cliffhanger — and I actually love that one major storyline got wrapped up while a new one is opening now. Because honestly… I’m perfectly fine leaving a certain someone behind. “Kitten”? Yeah. I’m good. I’m almost sure we’ll get Lucian and Venna POVs in the next book, and I actually think it’s really cool that the story is starting to mix different storylines together. The spice was GREAT. Stark absolutely delivers. And I really loved seeing the relationship between him and Meryn grow more naturally throughout the book. For me personally, some conflicts ended a little too fast, and there were moments where I just wasn’t excited enough about what would happen next. So overall: definitely a good sequel, but not quite the god-tier masterpiece some influencers are making it out to be ;)
