Ich dachte, Band 1 fände ich toll, aber ich wurde eines Besseren belehrt und konnte dieses Buch wirklich gar nicht weglegen. Nun folgt sofort Band 3.😅 Den 1. Teil habe ich auf Deutsch gelesen und da fand ich es schon manchmal schwierig mitzukommen. Den 2. Auf Englisch zu lesen war dann wirklich herausfordernd, obwohl ich sonst kaum Probleme beim Lesen in dieser Sprache habe. Aber das Durchhalten hat sich gelohnt. Bei den Ebooks habe ich leider keine TWs oder CWs gesehen, wäre aber gut auf toxische Beziehungen, Psychospiele, Körperverletzung und unter Drogen gesetzt werden hinzuweisen.

Das Buch war eine Achterbahn der Gefühle. Es war wirklich ein auf und ab. Angefangen mit einigen Startschwierigkeiten und Verwirrungen am Anfang. Bis hin zu tragischen Ereignissen und der Akzeptanz von Verlust und Liebe, die nicht vergehen will. Ich muss sagen, dass es viele Stellen gab, an denen ich die Lust am Lesen verloren habe, weil ich manchmal genervt von Cecilia war. Dann gab es aber auch genau so viele Stellen, die mich gepackt haben und an denen ich mit Cecilia mitgelitten habe und ihre Gefühle verstanden habe. Und oft genug habe ich für Cecilia und einen bestimmten männlichen Protagonisten mitgefiebert, dessen Name ich aus Spoilergründen nicht nennen will 🙂‍↕️ Auch wenn ich irgendwie zwiegespalten bin was das Buch angeht, hat es mir am Ende doch wirklich gut gefallen und mich sehr neugierig auf den dritten Band gemacht ❤️‍🔥

To conclude on the whole series (no spoilers):

I hate how much I loved this. It threw me head first into a full depression. Flock: very cute, spicy and emotional. It was all I expected and needed it to be. But without a lot of tension but I loved the cliffhanger- 3⭐️ Exodus: A FREAKING, EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! I went down a dark rabbit hole from here on! Al the twists and mind blows! I loved it! It didn’t agree with a lot of it but still rate it 4⭐️ The series could have ended here. Exodus had a good ending which would have been fine with me. I wasn’t sure why there would be a third book. Finish line: way to long and unnecessary. It killed the mood unfortunately. - 1⭐️

Bisher kann ich den Hype um die Reihe nicht so sehr nachvollziehen. Band 1 und 2 waren okay, Band 2 aber besser als Band 1. Das “Gang-Setting” (wenn man es überhaupt so nennen kann) der Reihe fand/finde ich ganz gut. Mal sehen, ob Band 3 mich doch noch überzeugen wird 😌

Emotional Damage! This book absolutely BROKE me..... #TeamFrenchman Can't believe I'm saying this, but Cecilia actually said one or two smart things. Maybe some things she said resonated with me one way another, even though girly overall was repeating herself a lot. The time jump definitely helped Cecilia to grow, especially towards the end. Also, I think it's wild that Kate expects me to read One Last Rainy Day like nothing happened here ?? Hellooo ???
