"Dark or not, you see me." I gotta love this for Brishen and Ildiko alone. Their relationship is one of the most beautiful I have ever read about! The story in this one and therefore the feeling of this book are very different from the first book (although the title Wraith Kings makes sense now) and I don't know if I should say that this is good or bad. The story is compelling and kept me glued to the pages but the focus was off of Brishen and Ildiko for most of the time. Different? Definetly. Bad? Hell no. I would advise readers to go into this sequel with an open mind, though. Thinking about it, there was yet another change: The writing felt improved. Maybe it was me getting used to the style but I got through this more easily. I really enjoyed the two books in this series so far and I might just be back for more (if they happen to print the next one...) even if it doesn't seem to be about Brishen and Ildiko anymore.
