Very well done!
When I bought this book I was sceptical at first, because I couldn't imagine anyone really imitating Agatha Christie's style, and doing the portrayal of a very unique and eccentric Poirot justice. But I was truly pleasantly surprised! Not only did the author really capture the essence of a classic Poirot murder mystery, but she also wrote the characters in a way which was more than reminiscent of Christie's style. If I hadn't known that this was a different author, I wouldn't have guessed at all. And the mystery itself is really fun as well! Catchpool is a fun and quirky side-kick, and I loved his interactions with Poirot. I also really liked the setting of a hotel in central London, it gave the story a lot of flair. The famous Poirot monologue is a bit long in this book tbh, but it was still fun to see how everything came together in the end. I will definitely read more from this author!
