Betrayal, demons, and a heroine who refuses to break, what could possibly go wrong? When loyalties shatter and dangerous truths surface, Dagny must decide who she can trust in a world where even love comes with claws. One thing is certain: the demons of the Far Place are not giving up their mate without a fight.

After the explosive chaos of book one, Dagny Olavera begins this sequel in exactly the situation every heroine dreams of: imprisoned, betrayed, and emotionally wrecked. Truly living the dream. Trapped in Slaine’s dungeons after a devastating betrayal, Dagny must rely on the last demon she wants to trust, Malice, the very one responsible for breaking her heart in the first place. Because clearly what every healthy relationship needs is a little imprisonment and betrayal to spice things up. Meanwhile, her other demonic mates are scattered, furious, and very motivated to get their woman back. As the group struggles to reunite, secrets unravel, alliances shift, and Dagny’s mysterious powers continue to grow, because saving one demon realm apparently requires both emotional resilience and magical upgrades. The story balances intense action, emotional turmoil, and enough spicy chaos to remind you that yes, this is still a why-choose demon romance. I gave this book 4 stars, because it delivers exactly what it promises: drama, demons, tension, and relationships that are complicated in the most entertaining way possible. The characters continue to develop, the stakes grow higher, and the emotional rollercoaster is very real. Is it messy? Absolutely. But sometimes messy demon politics and morally grey love interests are exactly what makes a story impossible to put down.
