"I am Amora Montara, and I will no longer be a pawn. I will be a queen." I think all the tides of fate outdoes all the stars and teeth on many levels. It didn't rely on the tropes as heavily, it had more of an emotional impact and more character development. I did not expect an ending like this, which is an improvement from the first book that was quite predictable. And I really enjoy Adalyn Graces writing style. What bothered me was how Amora treated Bastian over something that wasn't his fault to begin with. I was also hoping for a little more adventure on the sea. I enjoyed the sense of adventure in the first book a lot and it was missing in this one.
