"…No one touches what belongs to us." Lark was born into this dangerous life. Her father was the leader of the dead soldiers, which meant she had enemies from the start. She was taken by the rival gang and while being locked away in their dungeon, she meets four men whose hatred for her family runs deep. Lark; however, can't help the feelings she gets every time she sees one of these men face to face. Ok- the opening to this book had me laughing. Yes, Lark was explaining her experience being locked away in a dungeon, but she is no scared little girl. You get a look into the mind of someone who was more irritated than scared, and then she proceeds to review her life choices… I fell in love with this character. She has entered my "top favorite FMCs" list! I mean; how can you not love the girl locked in a dungeon who is royally pissed because she doesn't know how this will affect her *Spicy Account*. "I've tried to make an invisible friend to help stave off the aching emptiness of my current existence, but no one answered the ad." The Tailor Boys…. are dark, broken, and delicious. I love when RH books have men with different personalities, and Rosa did an amazing job with this one. Which one is my favorite? That can't be 100% decided yet BUT I am drawn to Jude's crazy…..so he may be slightly in the lead. That ending….be prepared for a major cliffy that will have you stalking the author to pre-order book 2! HIGHLY recommend this book!
