I will continue to record these tragic tales, for that is what I do. You, however, should decide for yourself whether you can possibly endure this miserable story.

Living with their - scared of everything - Aunt Josephine in a House high up on a hill looking over a giant Lake. A dead husband, a scared Aunt, a Hurricane Herman, a soggy library, a Mysterious Note, a lot of Leeches and a questionable Captain make the Baudelaires childhood into a sad and heartbreaking story.
Written in a poetic and descriptive way. The character of Aunt Josephine was really interesting and special. I liked the setting on a lake with a small city…
