Eldmoor : Origins of Blaze (Ascension Series Book 1)

Leider gibt es das Buch derzeit nur auf Englisch. Dennoch finde ich, dass es sehr einfach geschrieben und gut zu verstehen ist. Mir hat die Story sehr sehr gut gefallen. Sie war gefüllt von Spannung und es wurde nie langweilig. Aber der Cliffhanger am Ende ist echt fies.

Hunger Games meets Dragons! Cool concept! It drew me right in. Also it starts with a banger that hooks you right in. I get that everyone progresses trauma differently. But Clara gets drugged and almost raped and just brushes it off as if it was nothing. She also sees those guys constantly again, gets threatened again and nothing…I know her character is supposed to be strong willed and revengeful towards the dragons. But this kinda curled my toes tbh. Also I didn’t‘t really like the constant teasing for more information and then you don‘t get it. Like Clara asking her mother about the pendant, her mother was about to tell her, but then nothing…it irritated the hell out of me! Or when Desmond finally accepted the „bond“ with Xaran and then we still get no real information except that there were two humans who stole something, probably this or that? Or when Clara finds that mysterious book she risked her life for, she kinda forgets about it right afterwards? Some things just don‘t make sense or were not properly thought through. I‘ll read book 2 for sure because I need answers! After that cliffhanger for sure anyway! I want to know what happened to Clara and who her father really was to Eldmoor!
