Die ersten 2 Kapitel war ich ja noch dabei… Und dann brüllt sie ihm ins Gesicht: „ich werde dich nicht f*****“ nachdem sie einmal mit ihm getanzt hat😂 wird aber jedesmal spitz, wenn sie an ihn denkt und ist eifersüchtig hoch zehn. Ich hab überhaupt nichts gegen spice,.. aber neh😅 das macht irgendwie keinen sinn..

Mir wurde das Buch von der lieben Bücherprinzessin empfohlen und ich durfte es dank den Literary Queens auch lesen. Die Worte der Empfehlung waren: wer SJM mag und deren Bücher wie zB ToG genial fand, dem könnte das auch gefallen. Und was soll ich sagen: klar SJM hat nochmal nen ganz anderen Stil und was mit Aelin war, uiuiui, aber „Kingod. Of Blood and Salt“ darf sich definitiv daneben einreihen❤️🔥 Manches kam für mich völlig überraschend, anderes nicht aber nichtsdestotrotz hat es mir richtig, richtig gut gefallen! Ich kann es kaum erwarten die Folgebände zu lesen, evtl dann auch auf englisch, weil ich zu ungeduldig bin🤭 *sorrynotsorry* Die Welt, die Charaktere, das Zusammenspiel von allem - genial! Ich freu mich so darauf weiter darin einzutauchen😍
This is an easy read and the action increases in the last third of the book. The world has a lot of potential but at this stage readers will kind of “hear” about it but no experience it. But this will change with book 2. Our FMC is feisty and very stubborn. Our MMC is a shadow daddy. The dynamic between them could use way more tension and a lot more banter but at least she hates him quite a long time before there is any smut/spice. The hating-him-even-though-we-all-know-she-wants-him-part is annoying because it’s repetitive. But at least she knows she’s always throwing the same arguments against his face…. I think the 2. book will be way more interesting and we finally get more of the world. There are some nice plot twists that are not too obvious. The finale might be shocking for some readers - I kind of had a hunch already. But to be honest there was one thing I was not already thinking about. So that’s nice. My opinion about this book is quite balanced and I’m not too excited (maybe because I’m still searching for something as great as Quicksilver or TOG or something at the level of a swoon-worthy-romance like ACOTAR…) - but I’ll continue and see if there is more in the 2. book. So all in all solid read, there’s potential and I have a feeling we get the found family trope - so let’s see ;!
