Simon Borowiak, geboren 1964, war sieben Jahre Redakteur bei dem Satireblatt "Titanic" und ist Autor des Bestsellers "Frau Rettich, die Czerni und ich" (verfilmt mit Iris Berben). 2007 erschien "ALK-fast ein medizinisches Sachbuch", laut Spiegel "ein Wunder an Komik, Recherche und Weisheit". Simon Borowiak lebt und arbeitet in Hamburg. 2007 erhielt er gemeinsam mit Margit Schreiner den Belletristikpreis der LITERA (Internationale Buchmesse in Linz).

Look, this is not a bad book by any means, but 2025 is not the year where i push through books even though im not enjoying them. Being a med student, none of the scientific information was new to me and the way it was written simply didn’t work for me. It’s supposed to be funny and easy to understand for the lay-person and i might recommend this to someone who knows nothing about the way alcohol works but as someone who’s already learned all of this in much more complicated terms, it felt like i was being treated like a child.
