Cancelled after a drunken, ill-advised post, TV-star Willow McKenzie is sent to Camp Castaway - a retreat in the woods where you hide from your mistakes.
Spoiler #1: there's nowhere to hide.
That first night, fellow campers gather round a fire, telling ghost stories. And Willow hears the tale of Knock-Knock Nancy - a beheaded local woman whose spirit still roams the woods.
Spoiler #2: she takes her victim's heads.
Willow doesn't believe in ghosts - until next day, a camper vanishes. And, that evening, Willow hears it:
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Spoiler #3: It's already too late . . .

I guess you could say this book was winning me over. I grabbed this because I love a good camp horror and I loved it.
. This book was packed with horror, myths and unraveling the truth. All hidden behind the premise of a Retreat to get away from your phones that turned deadly fast. Every character had their own personality and twisted past which made this even more enjoyable. There is just something special about victims not being all too young and having a past. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 4 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀? ⭐ Until the end I was never truly sure what was happening exactly. I was taken by surprise by all the revelations and I enjoyed the thrill of the action. The only reason why this was more of a 4 Star read was that some things were left unanswered and I wished for more in the end. Nonetheless this was a fast and really good read. I also loved the fact that this was a bit of a queer horror book.
Überraschend gut! 🪓
Absolute Empfehlung!
