'Marry me and no one has to know none of this was real'
Tansy's greatest love is her family's bookstore. But when it comes to actual romance, she can't get past the first chapter. Tired of questions about her love life, she invents a fake girlfriend, inspired by the stunning cover model on a bestselling book. But when the real-life Gemma crosses Tansy's path, her white lie nearly implodes.
Gemma is a wild child, the outcast of her wealthy family, and now the latest heir to Van Dalen Publishing. But the title comes with one tiny condition: she must be married in order to inherit. When Gemma discovers a beautiful stranger has been pretending to date her for months, she decides to take the charade one step further - and announces their engagement.
But as Tansy and Gemma play the role of affectionate fiancées, unexpected sparks start to fly and suddenly the line between convenient arrangement and real feelings begins to blur . . . But the scheming Van Dalen family won't give up the company without a fight, and Gemma and Tansy's newfound happiness might just get caught in the fallout.

Sapphic at its finest
2 Frauen. 1 Fake-Verlobung. Was soll da schon schief gehen?
4.5⭐ First of all, this is the prettiest cover I've ever seen! The first half gave me 5, even 6 star feelings but sadly it went downhill in the second. The second half was more of a 3 star but I still gave it 4.5⭐ because I loved the first half and the main characters so much. I absolutely adored the main characters as individuals. Tansy was my favorite of the two since I could relate to her quite a bit. I loved how protective they were of each other (especially Gemma) and now Gemma wasn't afraid to speak her mind. However, the development of the romance in the second half was underwhelming and disappointing. They went from not wanting to date to all of the sudden change their mind and have feelings for each other. Especially for Gemma it seemed quite random. We also never really got to see them doing couple things. They never went on dates or anything. I felt like they didn't really know each other, except for their traumas. It was mentioned that Gemma moved in with Tansy and I was quite disappointed that we didn't get to see any of that. Not a single scene of them actually living together. There are a lot of side characters, some rather unnecessary, and I personally would have liked less scenes with the side characters and more of the main characters actually doing things as a couple.
