Caitlin has Asperger's. The world according to her is black and white; anything in between is confusing. Before, when things got confusing, Caitlin went to her older brother, Devon, for help. Carolins Bruder Devon ist bei einem Schulamoklauf ums Leben gekommen. Caitlin ist Autistin und wir nähern uns gemeinsam mit ihr einer Möglichkeit, mit ihren Gefühlen umzugehen. Manches ist vorhersehbar, trotzdem und trotz dieser furchtbaren Ausgangssituation überzeugt mich die Erzählung durch ihre Warmherzigkeit.
Traurig und schön zugleich
Dieses Buch ist traurig und schön zugleich <3 Caitlin hat in der Geschichte eine sehr gute Charakterentwicklung gemacht und konnte zudem anderen Menschen in ihrem Umfeld bei ihren Problemen helfen. Zudem hatte ich vor dem Lesen kaum Berührungspunkte mit Autismus und habe durch das Lesen ein wenig das Gefühl dafür bekommen, wie Autismus funktioniert. Allerdings habe ich auch gehört, dass sich Autismus in einem Spektrum bewegt, weshalb es jeder Betroffene wahrscheinlich anders erlebt.
